Our St Peter's site is conveniently located just off Northdown Road, next to Revolution Skate Park and on the loop route of the local bus service.
The facilities at our site have been thoughtfully designed to enhance the learning experience. We proudly offer six well-equipped classrooms, each featuring interactive screens that facilitate dynamic and engaging teaching through the use of ICT. This technology empowers teachers to effectively incorporate digital resources, fostering a more interactive learning environment. Additionally, our classrooms are supported by a vocational classroom tailored to hands-on learning, an ICT suite, and a small library that provides students with access to a variety of reading resources.
We prioritise student well-being with dedicated time-out spaces, intervention and sensory rooms. These spaces are designed to support individual needs, providing calming environments for students who may require time to re-regulate or engage in sensory activities.
Maintaining a conducive learning environment is a priority for us, so our classes are intentionally kept small, with a maximum of six students. This small class size ensures that each student receives personalised attention and support. Our dedicated staff team is composed of Specialist Teachers and experienced Learning Support Assistants who work collaboratively to create an enriching educational experience. They also play a crucial role in communication with parents to keep them informed about their child's progress and developments.
To complement our indoor facilities, we have a modest outdoor space where students can enjoy their break and lunchtime. This outdoor area not only provides a place for relaxing and socialising but also features a section dedicated to supporting our horticulture curriculum. Students have the opportunity to engage in gardening activities, learn about plant cultivation, and understand the importance of sustainability, all while enjoying the fresh air.
At Cross Keys Learning, we are committed to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where students can thrive academically and socially, preparing them for future success.
Situated in the idyllic village of Womenswold just outside Canterbury, this site opened as an extension of our St. Peter's site in 2023. The main school building boasts two spacious classrooms designed for a dynamic and interactive learning experience, an art studio, an equipped kitchen for practical lessons, and intervention and sensory rooms tailored to meet the individual needs of our students.
Beyond the classrooms, the school has a large garden that serves as an extension of the learning environment. This outdoor space offers opportunities for hands-on education, from cultivating plants in the polytunnel to exploring the natural world through outdoor lessons. The garden is not just a place to play, but a vibrant learning hub where students can connect with nature, foster their curiosity, and engage in sensory-rich experiences.
Making the most of our rural location, students are provided with an enriching and holistic education that blends indoor and outdoor learning seamlessly.
