Reading is a lifelong skill that improves memory, builds a robust vocabulary and foundation of knowledge.
It adds richness and depth of meaning to life for all those who can access true, deep comprehension
At Cross Keys Learning Everybody Reads in Class (ERiC) takes place each day for 10 minutes, where every student and member of staff read.
- Students are encouraged to read texts which are of interest to them, whether this is a book, magazine or newspaper.
- Students can either read independently or with support from staff.
- Students are encouraged to bring their own reading material to school too.
- Donations of any appropriate reading material is also gratefully received.
